Ridiculous experience; the staff are unfriendly and unhelpful.
I was told by a staff member that he couldn't take my phone and pass it to the technician for repair during my first visit. He told me to come back the next day, as the technician wasn't in that day but would be available the following day from 10:30 am to 7:00 pm.
So the next day, I went to the shop again. There were three staff members in the shop. Since two were serving customers, I approached the other guy and requested a repair. This guy replied, "Oh! Technician!" Then, he walked back to the cashier counter, stood there, and stared into space, ignoring me. I was so confused, so I waited for another staff member to finish serving his customer, and then I asked him again for the repair. This second staff member then knocked on the door and asked the technician to come out from the room.
The technician printed papers for me to sign as he submitted my case in their system. I needed to wait for five working days after the check-in. I was in a rush, so I took the paper and left.
One week later, I went back to collect my phone, and the technician told me I should have read my emails and made payment before they could proceed with the repair. I told him I didn't know this and that I didn't have a spare phone or laptop with me, so I had no access to my emails. The technician asked me why I didn't check with him earlier about the payment procedure during my last visit.
I told him I thought I could make the payment upon collection, as they didn't ask me to pay a deposit during the last visit. The technician said to my face, "This is the wrong assumption!" I replied, "I'm not working here; I don't know what your procedure is, and you should be the one who explained it to me. Give me back my phone; I don't need the repair anymore."
Eventually, I paid them $50 to get my phone back.
I strongly suggest that management provide proper customer service training to all the staff.
The staff was incredibly rude, especially the lady cashier. I visited on July 13th, in the evening. Even though we were right at the entrance waiting to be seated, the two staff members at the payment counter (literally just a meter away) didn't see us, and we had to get their attention. We were seated, and the menu and food ordering were done via a QR code. The only service we received, despite paying a service charge, was our food being sent to our table. For payment, you have to go to the counter and give your table receipt. The cashier was already giving attitude then, with a face like she wanted to fight 😂. I subsequently made payment and received my receipt. I noticed a double entry, so I asked for clarification. She didn't even look at it and quickly said, "It's already void" – which, firstly, how is anyone going to know if it's void given there was no strike-out, and secondly, why is it even on the receipt if it's already void? So I said, "Oh, so then the price is xxx, right?" only to be given a retort of "You can count yourself if you don't believe," all the while she wasn't looking at me and was busy doing other things (there was no line at the payment counter). What a joke 😂. Unfortunately, the food didn't make up for the rude service, and it was certainly not worth the price or the added service charge. The egg in the ramen was salty; you can prepare it better at home. The salad was just lettuce and corn with what tasted like the Kewpie roasted sesame sauce. Pepper Lunch is definitely a much better option 😂. I should have listened to all the bad reviews instead of wasting my money here!
Ate here with my friends the other day, my first time. My friends ordered their food and received it within 15 minutes. Not only was the guy taking my order quite rude, giving me an unpleasant vibe, but they also forgot my order. I ordered at 7:30 and my food arrived at 8:15. Despite asking numerous times throughout those 45 minutes, they still said it was coming, and it never did. Overall, the food was pretty good, but I hope there's better service in the future if I go again. I may change this review.
Hey guys, just wanted to share my recent experience at Tokyo Shokudo in Tampines Mall. If you're in the mood for some Japanese tendon rice, this place is okay! I tried their chicken ramen and signature tendon, and they were quite good. The ramen had a flavorful broth and tender chicken, while the tendon was roasted and nice. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.
I was there around 1 pm. I ordered the signature tendon, as it's one of the recommended dishes. The portion was huge, and the food came pretty fast.
I was very pleasantly surprised by my first bite of the tempura prawn. It tasted very good and was served piping hot. The batter was so crispy. The rest of the tempura was equally good and well done. The egg, on the other hand, was cold. It could have been better if it was hot, too.
Overall, the experience was great. The staff was friendly and customer-oriented. The ambiance was great, too. I asked to be seated at the window, and I enjoyed my lunch throughout. I'm giving it a 5-star rating. I will recommend this restaurant to my friends.
Opens at 11:30 AM, located on Level 4 of Tampines Mall.
Food service can be slow for certain dishes, or when they are shorthanded. So take note if you are in a rush. Service from staff is just average.
Overall, the food portion is reasonable for the price.
The Volcano is spicy, no kidding! So take note before you decide to order.
The newly appointed assistant manager is highly proactive and also a hard worker. As for the manager in charge, Zai is very on the ball in his work, ensuring all the customers get their orders quickly and efficiently.
At some point, there was a waiter named David who was also there, but he disappeared from the outlet. He was fast and efficient, but I assume that he is working elsewhere or changing to part-time again, as he thinks he isn’t getting enough credit for doing so many things, which I don’t know about. Overall, their service is top-notch.
Visited during lunchtime, and to our dismay, the food didn't look like what was shown in the menu. I ordered the chicken cha shu tom yam ramen lunch set. For comparison, the left side shows what was displayed in the menu, while the right shows what we received. Just one piece of chicken is pathetic, let alone half an egg. The menu picture shows (at least) two pieces of chicken and a full egg. For the price, this is unreasonable. I was utterly disappointed. Not to mention, the staff also slipped and dropped the bowl of ramen on the table, splashing my friend. The staff just muttered "sorry" and quickly walked away. I'm not sure why the service staff here are so stuck up. The lack of professionalism is bizarre. I won't be returning.
