I had the opportunity to try Kenangan Coffee, a renowned Indonesian coffee chain, here in Singapore. I opted for their signature Kenangan Latte, which turned out to be slightly sweeter than usual but still enjoyable. The croissant I ordered was nicely prepared, though it seemed to have been reheated. However, my experience was somewhat dampened by the **lack of cleanliness**. The table I sat at was dirty, covered in crumbs from previous patrons, which was off-putting. Additionally, the **seating was limited**, with only 7 tables in total, making it a bit crowded during peak hours. Overall, while I appreciated the unique flavors of the Kenangan Latte and the satisfactory croissant, the cleanliness and seating arrangements left much to be desired. Improvements in maintaining cleanliness and possibly expanding seating capacity could greatly enhance the overall customer experience at Kenangan Coffee in Singapore.

Came in around 7-8 PM the day after Christmas πŸ˜‚. No hectic crowds, thank God! Fast service, hot coffee, and a new leak-proof lid!! Finally!! Thank you, Sha, for the attentiveness and friendly vibes. ✌🏼πŸ₯³

The place offers a range of flavors with famous Indonesian coffee blends. My recent visits there made me wait for 20-30 minutes to get a coffee. I could see the disappointment of other customers as well. Though I like their muffins so much, I might rethink going given the waiting time.

The Kenangan latte is sweeter than local coffee. The reheated pain au chocolat is soft to chew. Not many people, maybe due to the holiday. The environment is quiet and comfortable.

I went there yesterday to buy my daughter a keyboard for her birthday. I saw a total of 4-5 staff members, but only one guy knew anything about the instruments. He was knowledgeable and was trying to help, but we waited for more than 30-40 minutes just to be heard! This was because he was attending another customer. Mind you, there were only two customers in the whole store – us and another guy – yet it still took such a long time to attend to us. And it took us just 7-10 minutes to decide and buy! Why is Yamaha so short-staffed? At least there should be 2-3 sales representatives to help customers with instruments. Try waiting for 30-40 minutes with a child! If it wasn't a birthday present, I would have left immediately!

Notice of blacklisting Yamaha Music School due to an unprofessional music teacher commenting on my handphone model and my Person with Special Needs card. I was interested in Electone training, and in November-December 2022, I went to the Yamaha Music School in Plaza Singapura. They informed me that all student capacity was fully booked, and no free slots were available. I managed to get a university undergraduate to teach me all the music theory within one month (30 days). However, Singapore school university holidays are from May to August 2023, so the university student was not available to teach Electone. I called every Yamaha Music School in Singapore, and the Tampines branch said that there was a free slot available on Thursday evening, starting June 1st, 2023. The music teacher was unprofessional. I showed her my Person with Special Needs card, and she said that the medical condition for the card's issue was not stated. She also commented on my 5G handphone model when I showed her that I had loaded the Bluetooth wireless MIDI music software, Flowkey, on the handphone. I was already practising Monday to Friday during lunch time, using a generic 61-key keyboard and a spoilt 20-key Yamaha Electone leg pedal. This was because it was impossible for an Electone to be placed in the office, as it was too big and heavy, and Yamaha does not have a light 3KG Electone with a light 2KG leg pedal. Despite this, I still did not meet her expectations, and she refused to teach faster. She did say that she had a student who could finish one book in a month, and she did teach faster for that student. I even timed the Yamaha Electone's rhythm timing speed, so it was about 0.9s, 1.8s, 2.7s. This allowed me to use a watch to approximate the timing when practising in the office, because it was impossible to have an Electone there. The Yamaha Music School teacher even asked why I used the watch instead of listening to a specific rhythm and speed, reiterating that there was no Electone in the office. I had already tried my best to simulate an Electone in the office using a generic 61-key keyboard and a spoilt 20-key Yamaha Electone leg pedal. Now that Singapore University is open, the undergraduate is teaching "Castle in the Sky" (E flat 3b and G minor 5# or 2b). However, the Yamaha music teacher refused to teach at a faster pace (she did say that she had a student who could finish one book in a month, and she did teach faster for that student). So, there was a very big gap between the undergraduate's teaching and the Yamaha Music School's teaching. On weekends, I have to do other tasks, and the university undergraduate continues teaching me music. Perhaps this is the reason why the June 1st, 2023 training slot was open: because the previous student was not satisfied with the training or had been commented on unprofessionally by the same teacher.

Purchase of an electric guitar and accessories at the Tampines branch on Saturday, September 2nd, late afternoon. I would like to extend my compliments to the sales team (especially Mr. Too Yun Shyi) who delivered excellent customer service and assisted us with great instrument knowledge and expertise. Furthermore, excellent teamwork in serving customers was also demonstrated. For instance, while Mr. Too was discussing the color options with us, his colleague had already prepared the options and presented them to us. Their teamwork added a warm and harmonious feel to our purchase experience. It is a blessing for Yamaha to have such a great sales team. We have no doubt recommending friends and students to visit the Tampines branch and approach the friendly and professional sales team for advice on purchasing suitable instruments.

My son has been a student at Yamaha TM for a few years, and he really likes the place. He likes all the studios, big and small, and he is happy learning from the experienced teachers there. The teachers and staff gave very knowledgeable advice on which piano is suitable for my son. Thank you, Yamaha Tampines Mall.
