*Worst hair rebonding so far*
I went for hair rebonding in November 2022. I chose this salon because it looked decent and good. I'm not sure of the name of the stylist who served me, but she was the only one working that day. She was friendly at first, but in the end, the result was worse than I expected. Because my hair had been chemically treated before, I wasn't expecting the rebonding to make my hair silky smooth like virgin hair. She told me the ends might be a bit dry afterward, and I was okay with that. I've been getting rebonding since I was young, and I was in the hair industry previously, so I know the process of the treatment. This rebonding was done very quickly. She applied the first product and left it on for merely 5 minutes before washing it out. The product would have to be very strong to soften my hair within that timeframe. I thought maybe this product worked wonders, so I had some faith! Cutting a long story short, the end result actually damaged 3/4 of my hair. After washing it, it became like burnt broom bristles, which couldn't be tamed by any products. I had no choice but to iron it with high heat to hide the damage. It was the worst rebonding I've had so far, but I won't go to the salon to complain, as I know they won't be able to do anything. However, I wanted to review it here so consumers know before spending money there.
But of course, this was my personal experience. Others' experiences might be good; I don't know.
We are happy that it’s vegetarian! It’s the second time we've bought food from there. My boyfriend likes their veggie porridge a lot. Tasty! We feel that the staff is friendly.
We are particularly impressed by the lady staff who offers great service (at least, she doesn't have an attitude). Her customer service makes us feel happier buying the products. Awesome lady! 🥳🤩
The quality of the food, particularly the fried snacks, is extremely poor. Their signature red bean snack has suffered a severe decline in ingredient quality. As the images show, there's 30-50% less red bean filling than before. The bun is extremely chewy, indicating that it hasn't been kneaded sufficiently. It was truly disappointing to have patronized Dough Culture. Also, their dough isn't kneaded well enough, resulting in a very chewy, rubbery end product. Prices have increased while the quality of service and food items has drastically declined. There are better options available where local snacks and finger foods are prepared wholesomely, with great flavor and quality.
Naim is very friendly and jovial. His recommendation of the green bean cake was delicious! Thank you! And not forgetting Amanda, for frying our you tiao to perfection! Thank you again!
Bought the porridge on Monday, July 15, 2024, at Tampines Mall. It's nice, but the mock chicken seems a bit sparse; it would be better if there was more.
Sharing my sweet potato fritter. I am amazed at how thinly they have managed to shred the sweet potato; it's as thin as a piece of paper. [Location - Changi City Point Outlet.]
My favorites are the Salted Bun, Red Bean Bun, You Tiao, and Jemput Jemput. Whether they are cold or hot, light brown or dark brown, they all taste good. Most of all, their prices are reasonable. 🤎🧡👍
I occasionally order the porridge 2-piece meal that comes with a soya bean drink. Like every other place, I've noticed that the customer service varies from day to day. Sometimes it's great; other times, it's awful. The employees' attitude is often the issue.
Sometimes, I get a free bundle of youtiao with the set meal, separate from the porridge. Some coffee shop-style places just give porridge and a few pieces of youtiao.
The food is splendid and is one of my favorites! It's deliciously cheap, and the porridge has the right quantity compared to other shops I've tried, where I'd have to make multiple orders just to get more porridge or youtiao, along with separate delivery fees.
Keep up the good work!
Horrible service. Very slow.
I'm writing to express my disappointment regarding my recent visit to your shop. I ordered two yu tiao and was informed by the staff, Siti, that it would take about 10 minutes. However, after waiting for more than 10 minutes without any update, I became frustrated and decided to cancel my order.
I believe that the staff should prioritize customer orders effectively, and I would have appreciated it if Siti had communicated with the kitchen to ensure my order was being prepared in a timely manner. Unfortunately, it felt like she was preoccupied with other tasks instead of attending to customer needs.
I value good service, and I hope you can provide feedback to your staff on the importance of prioritizing customer orders.
