I will never come back here. The cashier service is so rude. All the staff talk amongst themselves. I regret spending money here. Please go elsewhere and be happy.

I am writing about my purchase this afternoon (Tuesday, October 29th) at your Tampines Mall outlet. Transaction no.: 2101146. One of the few items I bought was Soon Kueh. I was asked by the oldest auntie (there were three aunties working, by the way) if I wanted chili and sweet sauce. It turned out that neither was provided when I got home. To the management of Bengawan Solo, please verify this with your CCTV footage. For years I've supported Bengawan Solo, and I'm unsure why such small items have to be "asked for." Why can't chili and sweet sauce be provided by default? Who eats Soon Kueh without them? Perhaps this oldest auntie is rationing the chili and sweet sauce so she can buy a golden coffin. Readers, beware!

Their cakes are delicious. Their kueh is a bit pricey, but worth it! Located at a convenient spot in Basement 1 (on the way to NTUC Fairprice), they are still surviving despite competition from various bakeries (e.g., Breadtalk).

Bait and switch. The nice kueh lapis displayed in the display area was not what I received. When I bought a slice, I was given the end piece from under the counter, which was dry and tasted terrible. I don’t appreciate these underhanded tactics. 16 July Sunday Tampines Mall 11:39 receipt number 1950919

The ShopBack promotion didn’t work. I bought $11.10 worth of products. The promo was supposed to be "buy $10, get $1 off." It wasn't available, and I didn't want to just walk away. I checked the pandan chiffon and noticed it was a pathetic piece for $2.10. It could easily be eaten in one bite for a man. It's only the size of a palm and thinly sliced. This is the most pathetic-looking pandan chiffon slice I've seen. I won't be back to buy this anymore. Totally not value for money. I could have gotten a whole pandan cake at JB Verbena for less than the price of two slices in Singapore.

The service was rude and slow. The server asked us to count the money when we asked the price, kept asking us to repeat our order, and took the receipt on her own. Because of the service, many people were behind us.

"Displays nice pieces of kueh lapis, but sells terrible pieces from under the counter. My trust is gone. I will not be back."

My family and extended family's favorite bakery for many years... Their pandan chiffon cake, pandan cheese roll, coffee swiss roll, marble cake, hei bee hiam (shrimp roll), kuih bangkit, love letters, coffee whole cake, and pandan whole cake are all super good. I've loved their bakes since I was a kid... πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹ Good breakfast or tea break options. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Every Chinese New Year, I make it a point to buy pastries from this store, which offers a wide variety of treats perfect for gifting to friends and family. With the festive season upon us again, it's the perfect time to share these delights. While the pastries are slightly expensive, their quality is commendable. I've noticed that many of the pastries are not made in Singapore but in Indonesia. However, I hope they can start making these pastries in Singapore to give friends a taste of local flavors.
