It must have been more than 15 years since I last ate LJS. Service here is unfriendly. They don't take orders at the counter. The food arrived quickly after I placed my order at the self-service kiosk. The fish is way too salty and not crispy like before. The coleslaw tasted fine, but I prefer the one from the chicken chain. The tea is from a teabag. The price is cheap, but I won't be eating here again.

I waited for half an hour for my meal to arrive. My number was not on the screen! I went to clarify, but the staff asked me to wait?! Usually, the number is displayed if the order is being prepared or ready, but neither was showing!! If I hadn't kept going to the counter 3 times, I wouldn't have even received my meal after 30 minutes. I would have just kept waiting. The person before me had already collected their meal, but mine hadn't. The staff was not helpful unless I kept going to the counter and pestered them for my order number. Zzz. The fish was not hot, though. I was disappointed in this outlet. Super disappointed!!

Update: Visited again today. Fries were overcooked. The fish was extremely oily and not crispy at all. The fish was really small; imagine the fish and chicken being the same size. There was no taste of garlic at all on the bread, and it was soft and cold. The Tampines Long John Silver outlet is really bad. Different Long John Silver outlets have different standards. The first time I visited LJS in Tampines Mall, I ordered a Golden Deal that came with Alaska Fish & Chicken. The flour coating on the fish and chicken was too thick, so it lacked a crunchy, crispy bite. This second time I tried again, the coated layer was crispy, but it was very salty. With every bite, I felt like I was swallowing a small teaspoon of salt. Overall, I will still be back because LJS is my favourite fast food. They also have new promotions. Prices and food are reasonable and nice.

Went to Long John Silver's for breakfast, expecting to order at the counter. The staff member was busy but didn’t even acknowledge me properly—just pointed at the self-ordering screen and told me to order there. No greeting, no explanation, just a dismissive gesture. I found it rude and unwelcoming, so I left. If this is the kind of service they provide, I won’t be returning.

The portions are fair for the price, making it a budget-friendly option for a quick, satisfying meal. If you’re not in the mood for fried food, they also offer grilled choices and rice bowls. Service is efficient, and the food is usually fresh and hot, but the tight seating and crowded atmosphere can make dining in feel a bit cramped. It’s a decent spot for a quick bite if you’re in the mall, but don’t expect a spacious, relaxed dining experience.

What's wrong with these people? 30 minutes for a meal to arrive? For me, after ordering, I got my 2-piece chicken meal in less than 5 minutes! The chickens were very warm, plus I got free clam chowder for giving feedback. No ice for the Coke Zero, and it was full to the brim! Look at the restaurant – so many people eating! These negative reviews are from jokers, man! To that fella: your last time visiting? Good, one less person means less crowded!

Long John Silver just launched new menu items as part of their ‘American Classic Sub’ theme. Tried both the bratwurst and the dory sandwich and added the bolognese chips to go with them. They were average. The dory fish tasted like their usual fried fish. The mustard on the bratwurst was a bit bitter for my taste. The bolognese chips got soggy and cold fast, but were rather tasty. Service is pleasant and quick.

Surprisingly great improvement when I tried it again last week. Ordered takeaway for a fish and chicken set. The fish was humongous! I believe the team can still improve on the taste of the batter, but the quality of the fish has significantly increased from the last time I visited. Fries can be more crispy, but still good. Keep up and continue improving your products.

Look at how succulent the pollock is. Could pass off as restaurant fish and chips. This outlet is much better than my outlet in Jurong.
