It must have been more than 15 years since I last ate at LJS. The service here is unfriendly. They won't take your order at the counter. The food arrived quickly after ordering at the self-service kiosk. The fish is way too salty and not crispy like before. The coleslaw tasted fine, but I prefer the one from the chicken chain. The tea is from a tea bag. The price is cheap, but I won't be eating here again.

Waited for half an hour for my meal to arrive. My number wasn't on the screen! I went to clarify, but the staff asked me to wait. Usually, the number would be there if it was being prepared or was ready, but neither was the case! If I hadn't gone to the counter three times, I wouldn't have gotten my meal after 30 minutes. I would have kept waiting and waiting. The person before me collected their meal already, but mine hadn't. Staff wasn't helpful unless I kept going to the counter and asking about my number. Zzz. The fish wasn't hot, either. Disappointed in this outlet. Super!

Long John Silver's just launched new menu items under the theme "American Classic Sub." I tried both the bratwurst and the dory sandwich, and added the bolognaise chips to go with them.
They were average. The dory fish tasted like the usual Long John Silver's fried fish. The mustard on the bratwurst was a little bitter for my taste. The bolognaise chips get soggy and cold fast, but were rather tasty.
Service is pleasant and quick.

Update:
Came again today. The fries were overcooked. The fish was *very* oily and not crispy at all. The fish was also really small; imagine the fish and chicken being the same size. There was no garlic taste at all on the bread, and the bread was soft and cold. This is at the Tampines Long John Silver. It’s really BAD.
Different Long John Silver outlets seem to have different standards. The first time I visited LJS in Tampines Mall, I ordered a golden deal that came with Alaska Fish & Chicken. The flour coating on the fish and chicken was too thick, so you didn't get a crunchy, crispy bite. This second time I tried it again, the coating was crispy, but it was very salty. Every bite felt like I was swallowing a small teaspoon of salt. Overall, I will still be back because LJS is my favorite fast food. They also have new promotions. The price and food are reasonable and nice.

I went to Long John Silver's for breakfast, expecting to order at the counter. The staff member was busy but didn’t even acknowledge me properly—he just pointed at the self-ordering screen with his index finger and told me to order there. There was no greeting or explanation, just a dismissive gesture. I found it rude and unwelcoming, so I left. If this is the kind of service they provide, I won’t be returning.

Long John Silver’s at Tampines Mall delivers the familiar crispy fried goodness, but the limited seating space can be a downside, especially during peak hours. The place gets crowded quickly, and finding a table can be a hassle if you're visiting during lunch or dinner.
The food itself is comforting and consistent—crispy fish and chicken with their signature golden batter, served with fries and those addictive crispy bits. The portions are fair for the price, making it a budget-friendly option for a quick, satisfying meal. If you're not in the mood for fried food, they also offer grilled choices and rice bowls.
Service is efficient, and the food is usually fresh and hot, but the tight seating and crowded atmosphere can make dining in a bit of a squeeze. It’s a decent spot for a quick bite if you're in the mall, but don’t expect a spacious, relaxed dining experience.

What's wrong with these people? It took 30 minutes for their meal to arrive? For me, after I ordered, I got my 2-piece chicken meal in less than 5 minutes! The chicken was very warm, plus I got free clam chowder for providing feedback. There was no ice for the Coke Zero, and it was filled to the brim! Look at the restaurant; so many people were eating! These negative reviews are a joke! To that person, are you not going to visit again? Good, one less person means it's less crowded!

Surprisingly great improvement when I tried it again last week. I ordered takeaway, a fish and chicken set. The fish was humongous! I believe the team can still improve the taste of the batter, but the quality of the fish has significantly increased since my last visit. The fries could be crispier, but they were still good. Keep up the good work and continue improving your products!

"Look at how succulent the pollock is! It could pass for restaurant-quality fish and chips. This outlet is much better than the one in Jurong."
