1 for 1 soup discount, but service can’t keep up to standard. Waited roughly 30 minutes for a bowl of soup and hor fun. Asked the staff and staff said because they have only one chef. How do you even run a business with just one chef? Not even a mention that the food will take slightly longer to us from the staff.
Staff clearing more plates than serving dishes, absurd. Hor fun came out but the portion was small. Please help to fix this issue thanks

New outlet opening so went to try. Soup was alright but claypots used has many chips (controversial given a new outlet) and some debris were found in the soup. Many of the staff were not well trained who just placed the food items on one side of the table for us to serve ourselves. Entire outlet was overly lit which led to an uncomfortable dining experience. Honest feedback.

They run a 1for1 soup promotion and no service crew told me at seating today.
I ordered a soup and upon checking out the staff ask me if I want to take away a soup. I was confused until she told me the promotion. When I asked why it wasn’t inform when I ordered or serving she pointed to the board. How would I know their promotion if I just walk in directly.
I paid and didn’t take the extra soup. Service definitely needs to be improved.
Online ordering should also reflect the promotion since there is no service crew to take orders.

AUG24:
Dropped by their opening promotion which is 1 for 1 on all soups! Value for money! Each soup comes in a small cute pot. A lot of ingredients inside, and the soups are really hearty! Pumpkin rice was just average, light on the taste. Quickly drop by to try while they still have opening promo!!!
DEC24:
I visited again as I saw the 1 for 1 still available! Unfortunately, this time was disappointing. I went before but close to 8pm. There were only 4 options of soup left. Still, I was excited. BUT THE SOUP WAS SOOO SALTY. It’s like they dumped salt inside… I didn’t finish my soup which I normally do. Only ate the ingredients in the pot. After this experience, I won’t be revisiting this outlet :(

Nice restaurant, new and comfortable. Food is average. Pig stomach soup has too little ingredient. Quite disappointing. Tried the 1 for 1 soup hence still acceptable.

This is my first visit to Lao Huo Tang in Tampines Mall.
Ordered the Lotus & old cucumber soup. The meat in the soup is so soft and the soup is rich and nourishing.
Also order the cereal prawns & creamy butter pork. Have to say both dish tastes great & appetizing.

Nourishing soups are beautifully cooked, flavours are on point. Service was a jarring and rubbed us the wrong way at first. We were on wheelchair, service staffs expects us to park our wheelchair outside and "walked" into the restaurant. Does this make any sense to anyone of U reading this?! And we came in at a super off peaked hour at 3pm where there is only 1 table dining inside. Why can't we use our wheelchair inside the restaurant, eat and go?? The restaurant is practically empty! Elaine, the restaurant mgr, did a great service recovery after that jarring experience. Overall, the soups are great and never disappoint us.

Entered and was greeted by a traditional Chinese culture: Lanterns were all around! We ordered the pig’s stomach soup and the ginseng chicken soup. The pig stomach soup was very tasty. The amount of pepper they put in was just right, so it was satisfying. The soup was very tasty! The service was very good, we had friendly staff serve us. Overall I would visit again!

Ordered sweet sour fish, vinegar pork, roast chicken, kailan, watercress soup and red bean paste pancake. Vinegar pork is the best. Fish fried till very crispy and the sauce is not too sour or too sweet. Roast chicken is tasty as well. Kailan normal. But the pancake is disappointing.

Don’t know why it took so long to decide coming here. It’s a really good restaurant AME the soup was top notch. The other dishes not bad as well. We had an enjoyable meal and will definitely come again.

Soup is plentiful with lots of ingredients. Strong & flavourful.
Side dishes are also very well done.
Fried rice is very fragrant. Love it.
Great value with the ongoing 1-for-1 opening promo.

Like the ambience, as it is not as crowded as other restaurants during lunch hour. Price is reasonable. Servings are huge. Service staffs are very friendly.
Ordered fried hor fan, san lou hor fan, seafood beehoon with gravy. Recommended the seafood bee hoon with gravy but it’s good for 2 pax. The beehoon is fried into a size of a big plate.
There is a promotion going on now,
1 soup for 1 soup. But no refilled unless you are willing to be charge for $3 more for addition bowl of soup.

I went to several branches of Lao Huo Tang, and this will be my first visit in Tampines Mall.
As always, their soup is of superior quality. The pig stomach soup, have a very strong taste, not just peppery. The ginkgo seeds have completely melted in the soup and the soup becomes rich and nourishing.
The herbal taste of Shi Quan Da Bu Tang, as always, is really strong. If you order this, you need some prior experience as the strong herbal taste might not be suitable for people who did not try Shi Quan before. The soup is so herbal that you would vividly tasted the sweetness, bitterness and earthiness.
Beside the soup, their other dishes are great as well. I ordered the pandan chicken, though quite similar to their salted egg chicken, is very appetizing.
They do update their menu occasionally. I used to like their Cola chicken wings but its not longer there anymore unfortunately.
Edit 16/07/25: Please do come early as the soup will start running out after 7pm. The service can be quite slow as most of the staff are elderly.
