Din Tai Fung at Tampines Mall brings the internationally acclaimed Taiwanese dumpling artistry to Singapore's eastern region, operating daily from 11:00am to 10:00pm at 10 Tampines Central 1 #02-01. Renowned globally for their meticulously crafted xiaolongbao (soup dumplings), this outlet maintains the brand's legendary standards of excellence with each dumpling featuring exactly 18 hand-folded pleats and premium Kurobuta pork filling marinated in carefully selected seasonings. The restaurant represents decades of culinary tradition, where skilled artisans weigh and fold each dumpling by hand to achieve the perfect Golden Ratio that has made Din Tai Fung a Michelin-starred dining destination worldwide.
The Tampines Mall location consistently draws crowds throughout the day, with queues forming regularly during peak dining hours as customers eagerly await their freshly prepared xiaolongbao served piping hot in traditional bamboo steamers. Beyond the signature pork dumplings available in 6 or 10-piece baskets, the menu features various dumpling varieties including truffle versions, shrimp dumplings, and other Taiwanese specialties that showcase the restaurant's commitment to authentic flavors and premium ingredients. Each bite delivers the perfect balance of silky smooth dumpling skin, juicy meat filling, and flavorful broth that has earned Din Tai Fung its reputation as the gold standard for xiaolongbao preparation.
Despite the inevitable waiting times that have become synonymous with the Din Tai Fung experience, customers consistently rate the food quality as worth the patience required. The Tampines outlet serves both local diners seeking authentic Taiwanese cuisine and international visitors familiar with the brand's global reputation, creating a diverse dining atmosphere that reflects Singapore's multicultural food scene. With its position as a premium casual dining destination within Tampines Mall, Din Tai Fung continues to set the benchmark for dumpling excellence while providing an accessible taste of Taiwan's most celebrated culinary export to the eastern Singapore community.
dintaifung has served the worst fried rice in history i have ever eaten. worst of all, it's expensive and it tastes really like a fried rice i would eat in a convenience food chain eatery. to pay around $13 sgd for a simple egg fried rice is insane. first, it tasted like they added a lot of preservatives and addictives to it to entice customers and like the fried rice but it certainly didn't get me. the eggs were not scrambled properly as well, they were undercooked and i could taste some rawness in some of the egg whites and egg yolks, as the eggs were not cooked evenly and long enough. the rice was really not very good quality as the grains weren't very visible to the eye. tasted very over seasoned and too savoury to my liking. way too much soy sauce was added that i could taste as well as salt and seasonings to flavour the rice. third, its a shame because they use overnight rice to cook it but they did it injustice by adding so much seasonings and not enough fresh ingredients so it doesn't taste so flavoursome in a good way. they could have used sea salt or rock salt instead of table salt to enhance the dish, as well as cooked it with more eggs, the amount of eggs they gave is too little for a well balanced and good egg fried rice. fourth, they could have cooked the eggs with the fried rice and mix it together to make it a very nice and delicious egg fried rice, and then added eggs ,scramble them and then cook it with the rice. they had so much potential and yet they failed, especially with their shrimp fried rice. their shrimp fried rice is even worse which i tried at Junction 8 a while back, don't buy it. they use frozen and farmed prawns in a package and sell it for like 18 sgd. do not waste your money to buy overpriced and distasteful fried rice here when you can eat a lot nicer and much better priced fried rice elsewhere. putien is like 10000000000000x better than them in fried rice and other dishes, and many other places cook much better fried rice than dintaifung. wouldn't come back

food was ok.
but the manual queuing system is poor. we were there in the line before another customers yet the receptionist put us on hold and arranged for the customers behind us. the customers even informed the receptionist that we were first before them, yet the receptionist still put us behind and admitted the other two customers in. In the end of the day, the receptionist lady still did not explain why. very bad customer service on that day.

always loved din tai fung but i really really hate the new renovation. their bright interiors completely ruined the vibe that they had going and it kinda makes me sad because it has had the same look for the 15+ past years we’ve been going here and now it looks completely different. the air conditioning is also kinda bad, and the tables near the kitchen get to enjoy the hot air billowing out. really sad to be honest even though the food and service is still pretty solid imo.

Want to take this chance to thanks Charles from DTF customer care dept. i wrote in to request specially as my families have gathering to discuss on important wedding matters. So he call me personally to accommodate, i am grateful for DTF service for this.
Food is good as always, however drinks can be served faster though. Overall still great experience and will recommend off peak time to come if you do not want crowd or wait.

Our first dine-in at this branch. Love their service because all their staff are very attentive to us customers & the cashier whose pregnant was so kind & nice to teach me how to use the capitaland mall app, she even taught me how to take photo of the receipt to submit thru the app to secure more reward points! That was really impressive & we would definitely come back for another meal soon. Food was freshly prepared and we love their pea sprouts fried with shredded pork as it was surprisingly light & appetising. Far from being oily based on our initial imagination when we noted that it was fried with pork. However, we didn't find the xiao long bao as palatable & succulent. On the whole, it was still a sumptuous late lunch! Would definitely check in one day to try the fried rice with pork cutlet. Thanks!

Finally tried this restaurant to see what’s that hype as we always found a long queue outside. The waiting time was close to 45 mins but the QR system was quite efficient and we explored the mall while our turn came.
The service of the food was pretty slow especially in between orders so while the last dish came, we were actually already feeling done. But nevertheless, the food was quite delicious and worth the wait.
We tried chicken dumplings, duck pastry, spicy noodles, chicken buns and yuzu jelly.
Overall, the experience was good and I would love to go back on a weekday when the waiting is less.

This is a perennial favorite of Singapore. Even though they have maintained the high quality and standards of their dishes, the same cannot be said about the prices, which have gone up tremendously over the years. In any case, it is still popular judging from the crowds. It’s taste is excellent and service is good.

Din Tai Fung @ Tampines Mall – Went on a Sunday evening. It was crowded with around 25 groups in the queue, waited approximately 45 minutes for a table. Despite the long wait, the food was as expected—decent and consistent with the brand’s standard. The dining space was clean and comfortable, suitable for family dining. Staff were attentive and responsive to requests. Overall, a satisfying meal experience if you’re prepared for the wait during peak hours.
2 🌟 - Below Average: Needs improvement in multiple areas, not meeting expectations.
3 🌟 - Standard, Average: Meets basic expectations, nothing exceptional but acceptable.
4 🌟 - Standard, Above Average: Exceeds expectations slightly, better than the norm.
5 🌟 - Special & Unique: Outstanding experience, highly memorable and exceptional.

Usual consistent food quality and service. Only problem was that the wait was too long but I guess that’s what one’s got to do if one wants good food😅 the questing system and update is one of the best I have encountered!
The beef noodles standard is really good and the use good quality meat. Fried rice with pork chop and xiao long bao was very consistent as well 👍🏼 very good meal 👍🏼

Overall efficient service and the auto queuing process via QR scan was effective.
Their Christmas item was Mama Mochi Chocolate Xiao Long Bao . The service staff reminded us that it's served Hot and be careful. However my family bite into it with the fluid chocolate squirting out .. fortunately onto the table and not onto own clothes. So this is a reminder to those eating these chocolate filled dumplings 😅 .
Otherwise the food we ordered are satisfactory.

Love this Taiwanese cuisine restaurant but saw the queue is no longer like what we saw previously as we went there again yesterday. Don't know why but maybe the price is one of the reasons.. other than that, all are perfect
Gary Tan
Fast and good service although it’s very crowded during Sunday dinner.
Food standard still good.
Festive season lava chocolate bun very nice if you love chocolate as it’s very rich yet not too sweet.

It has been quite a while since we last visited a Din Tai Fung. So, we ordered some of its signatures-the pork "xiaolongbao" (steamed soup-infused dumplings), braised beef-noodle (soup), shrimp wonton-noodle (soup), pork-chop noodle (soup), bean-curd vermicelli (soup), shrimp fried-rice, vegetable buns, nai-bai (milk cabbage), duck spring-rolls.
Our food items were generally wonderfully scrumptious and enjoyable; the dishes were suitably flavoured and mostly, lightly salted and used less oil.
Exception: the Shangainese bean-curd vermicelli was a let-down; as basically the main ingredients were "down-sized" and tasted rather bland overall.
However, there is veritably much variety and choice from the menus.
Staff were attentive and helpful, highly responsive to our cues.
While not fully filled during our visit, the restaurant ambiance was rather noisy and some of the staff, somewhat harried.

The DTF here is forever long queue so be prepared to come early or wait at least 30mins during peak hours. We ordered their jajiang noodle & beef noodle which were decent. The beef was really tender and melt in your mouth.
The sides dishes were also okay, and we also ordered their signature xiao long bao which took quite awhile to arrive so i forgot to take a photo.
I have tried DTF a few times but i never really understand why people love it so much. To me, chinese food is much more than this 😅 Overall it was still decent so 4 stars from me~
Divya Tewari
Our favourite place for dumplings, and recently we tried their chocolate mochi and loved it too.
Mr Food Uncle
As always, had a great time at Din Tai Fung Singapore in Tampines Mall! The reason they have been in business for so many years, their standard is always there in terms of service and food.
Ordered their pork chop fried rice, spicy hot and sour soup, and sliced duck in crispy spring onion pastry and xiao long bao. It was all super tasty, and that hot and sour soup is a nice meal starter.
The sliced duck was quite nice and xiao long bao is still as tasty as ever.
Joyce
The prawn fried rice and pork fried rice are yummy! 😋😋😋 the fried wanton, chicken soup and roselle tea also very nice. The ice cube of roselle tea is also make of roselle tea to prevent the dilution of the roselle tea very thoughtful and sweet of them! 😍😍😍 nv give any chilli sauce on 3 Jan 2025 dinner time🥲🥲🥲

Din Tai Fung is still wonderful after so many years of serving the bellies of hungry folks.
Came here for dinner and you will need to get a queue number electronically. You will be able to see your number and how many pax are in front of you. This is a much more efficient way of dealing with the crowd which usually blocks up the escalator access at the second floor.
Food was served quickly and as usual I am delighted with it. Xiao long bao was juicy and full of flavors, and noodles are very qq, not over cooked at all.
Service was prompt but as it was nearly closing time, the staff do look extremely busy clearing up.
