I ordered Beef ball boat noodles takeaway. When I’m back to my place and opened the food. There is only 1 beef ball with noodles. And this costs $7.90. Very disappointing portion.

Bad service by senior staff, rude to customers even during crowded times. If can't handle the crowd, have lesser dine in table and chairs.
As for varieties of local delights, there are chee cheong fun, soon kueh, etc. Will come back more if not for poor service crew.

Had typical kaya butter set with tea- consist of 4 slices of bread which is double portion compared to other cafes.
The issues that resulted in missing stars:
- the tea tasted diluted.
- there is moisture in the pepper shaker. How to get wet pepper out? Clearly no one is maintaining the cafe.
- the staff mixed up my order, put my bread in a take away carrier. Poor communication between staffs?
- the half boiled egg had too much water inside.
This is a death penalty! Either the heat was too strong that the eggs were cracked when hot water was added. Or the plate was very wet.
- when I was collecting my bread. A staff was clearly impatient that I was blocking his way. Errr.... he could go by another route. And other than me, there were 2 other customers at the collection point.
Surprising, the cafe is very crowded. Maybe it is just not my day...

I still prefer saap saap Thai boat noodles , cashier is always rude as I don’t feel coming back to this branch even though I love there toast

Very bad service staff especially the malay lady who make kaya toast in the morning was very rude. I went to collect my food when my beeper beeps and to clarify it’s my order, I politely asked her are the food mine and she ask me is it my number…if it’s my number then its mine lah in a rude tone and show me face.
I don’t expect tip top customer service but courtesy is very basic when you are in F&B industry.
The kaya toast are also very badly done. There isn’t much kaya. Coffee taste sour..
Hope the management do something about their staff’s attitude.

Went for breakfast and was greeted with a very rude aged lady at the counter. Attitude was uncalled for, it’s understandable that at that timing might get a little cranky but i am not saying customer is always right. At least a smile would be nice?

Tea very very nicely done at my visit today. Strong tea - perfect color! There are just a few tables and chairs setup very closely to one another. When crowded, it is loud like being in a school canteen. A very enthusiastic cleaning staff will interrupt and distract you from your conversation. Indirectly feel like we are being rushed. Eggs were not fresh, judging from how "broken up" it is. Fresh eggs that are soft boiled will "hold" and will be soft and runny. Good portion of butter kaya toast as compared to another bigger brand eggs and toast place. Go elsewhere if you would like to eat anything else besides the eggs and toast.

Ordered kaya butter toast set on a weekday morning. Coffee-good, eggs-good, kaya butter toast- bad and soggy on the inside. Queuing time- long even though not crowded and only 2 people ahead. Old cleaning lady was hardworking and polite. Please give her a raise.

If you meet angeline, she very rude to customers.
She’s more focused on talking to her colleagues than serving the cashier.

Singapore Laksa at $6.50 that comes with an egg, 2 slices of fish cakes and some tau-pok. Saving grace was the gravy is pretty thick. This is among the cheapest items here.
For chicken laksa - it would be $2 more.

Rude staff at cashier , however food taste good but expensive
The old auntie cleaning table is polite thats good customer service !

Unceremoniously thrown together beef tendon and brisket bowl, with tough unseasoned meat. Noodles came in one giant lump leaving some parts undercooked, we had to loosen it ourselves upon receiving the bowl.
Not much else to say, stick to their breakfast and other items

Ordered Rendang Chicken + Mee Rebus, tis is 2nd time order for take away. 1st time ordered, the lady separate the rendang chicken in a plastic which is correct cos different taste. Today I ordered, tat Malay lady put on top the mee rebus. I ask her why put together, she say ya inside n dun knw n ignore. Very bad service. Nv even bother to separate the chicken.

I’m writing to express my disappointment with my recent visit. The toast served was cold, limp, and tasted like it had just been taken out of a bag—not toasted at all. Toast should be hot and crisp, and unfortunately, this fell far below expectations.
Additionally, the dark sauce was diluted and lacked flavor, making the entire meal unsatisfying.
More concerning was the hygiene practice I witnessed: the cashier was cracking eggs and handling money at the same time without washing her hands in between. This is highly unhygienic and poses a serious health risk. Handling raw ingredients and cash should be kept strictly separate.
I also noticed several staff members standing around chatting rather than focusing on the food quality. It gave the impression that attention to detail and customer satisfaction were not priorities.
I urge you to review your protocols and staff training, particularly around food handling and service quality. If these issues aren’t addressed, you risk losing more customers.

Not crowded at 11am on a saturday morning. $5.80 for set A with iced yuan yang. Drink was ok. Their soft boiled egg yolks were so beautiful and orange. Will visit again.
