Yang Guo Fu Mala Tang brings authentic Chinese street food culture to Tampines Mall, offering Singapore's largest mala tang chain experience with over 6,000 outlets worldwide. This renowned establishment specializes in the traditional Sichuan-style mala tang - a customizable hot soup dish that perfectly balances the numbing "ma" and spicy "la" flavors characteristic of authentic Chinese cuisine.
The dining experience begins with a unique self-service concept where diners select from over 60 fresh ingredients including premium beef slices, seafood, handmade balls, vegetables, and various noodles, all priced uniformly at $3.18 per 100g. Choose from three signature broths: the popular Spicy Mala Beef Broth slow-cooked for 8 hours with 20+ oriental spices, mild Tomato Broth, or the dry-tossed Mala Ban option for intense flavor seekers.
What sets Yang Guo Fu apart is their adaptable spice system with three levels - light, medium, and spicy - catering to diverse palates. For those sensitive to heat, request "yuan wei" for the original non-spicy version. The authentic recipe incorporates premium Sichuan Hanyuan peppercorns and Hainan white pepper, while their signature addition of milk and sugar creates a uniquely balanced broth.
The self-service sauce station allows further customization with sesame paste, soy sauce, crushed garlic, and chili oil. With average prices around $15-20 per person, Yang Guo Fu delivers an authentic, affordable mala tang experience that brings the bustling flavors of Chinese street food to modern Singapore diners.
Very different from the Mala I’m used to - the sauce was served separately from the noodles, which means that the ingredients weren’t mixed and cooked in it, thereby lacking flavour.
The meat was also clumpy - signalling that it was either not steamed well or little attention to cooking.
There is a sauce station but it felt like a long experience trying to fix what is otherwise readymade.
Not sure if this is a traditional way to eat it, and also saw that most others bought with a soup / broth.

Foods not bad but many times the spicy level is not served as requested. Sometime the middle spicy too mild, today the little spicy is too hot (hotter than middle level).

Food is okay but many small flies around food looked not hygienic. Maybe there is no door closed like Pasir Ris branch. Place is small yet lots of customers even not peak hour anymore, looked congested. Otherwise the collagen chicken broth is nice, actually would like to compare their mala soup with pasir ris one but cannot for today as just finished facial haha. They can accept reservation? I saw the signage is there but even after I finished my food no one sitting still.

Taste and variety of ingredients were great. However the packaging came as a shock as they are using reusable bags for delivery without taking them back, which means most likely these resource-intensive bags get thrown away by people who have too many of such bags at home.

Hard to believe this chain exists in a shopping mall. Food is good, the soups are great and the price is really nice. Selection of food is plentiful and there is a nice collagen soup.
Highly recommended.

1st time trying and we had the collagen chicken soup. Broth was good and for the light palate. Would love to come back again to try the mala beef broth. There were a few condiments and u can concoct your own sauce/s.
The service was great! We were welcomed in by a lady who usher us to an empty table. The cashier guy was friendly and patient too.
Only con was that the tables were quite close to each other and the seats weren't very clean.

Great to have another Malatang brand in Tampines! Great variety of ingredients here and their mala soup base is cooked with cow bones. They have a condiments section with sufficient sauces, spring onion and parsley (coriander is under one of the vegetables selection).
However, they do not serve white rice and provide ice for cold drinks. Also, it seems that they didn't separate some of the sliced meat during cooking as some of the meat became a lump.

The staff was super friendly and polite. There were plenty of clean seats available. Most importantly, I really loved the taste—lots of variety to choose from. Highly recommended!

I always come to ygf Tampines outlet to have my lunch once a week. Honest review, Staff is friendly and good services compare to Somerset ygf 😝!

I must have had it about 5 times now at this outlet. YGF is one of my favourite malatangs around for many reasons:
- good selection of ingredients. Perfect if I want high protein and low carb meal. Love it that I can pick as little noodles as I want unlike many places that only offer noodles as one whole pack.
- nice soup. I dunno what sorcery
.. Or at least comparable to other competitors.
- reasonable pricing and gives 20% off for return patronising.
- condiments are nice. I like the concoction I can make here as opposed to other brands.
- staff are kind and efficient.
If I really have to pick on something, then
- small spicy feels like medium spicy already for someone like me who can take spice.
- more variety of soups would be great!
ALSO, I don't know why but I feel like my meats always turn out to be less than what I selected! This is consistent with some other reviews as well.

It usually doesn't take long for a table and the food is really good. I've always favoured their chicken collegen soup. The atmosphere isn't very rushed and it's very calm, so it's easy to enjoy a nice meal!

Delicious bowl of malatang! It was so good that i forgot to take a picture before eating. Ordered the collagen chicken soup and it was so yummy. Pricing is quite reasonable too but slightly expensive compared to other malatangs. Will still come back though to try the other soups.
The ingredients are quite fresh too. Only thing is i think the noodles and veg cooked a little too long.
About $15 per pax also free apron for you to spm wear!!

This is by far, my favourite YGF mala tang eatery shop! If you haven't visited them at Tampines Mall, do drop by one of these days because not only are their ingredients very fresh, the service from all their staff is impeccable, excellent! I was able to get all the required nutrition from this outlet and customised based on my diet requirements. It was a great dining experience for me whenever I visit them for a hearty meal as all their staff would greet all their customers & even usher us to our table if seats are limited during peak hours. I love their vegetables as they tasted succulent, and even juicy, not overcooked. The tom yum base was also diluted to my diet preference as I am on a low salt diet. Love coming to this outlet! Hope that they could keep up their good work!
