My friend brought me here last month, and I never thought it would be so good. It's spicy for me, but it makes me want to eat more. It was a really good experience for me; I highly recommend it for people who love spicy food!
This is by far my favorite YGF mala tang eatery! If you haven't visited them at Tampines Mall, do drop by one of these days. Their ingredients are very fresh, and the service from all their staff is impeccable and excellent! I was able to get all the required nutrition from this outlet, customized based on my diet requirements. It was a great dining experience for me whenever I visit for a hearty meal, as all their staff greet customers and even usher us to our table if seats are limited during peak hours. I love their vegetables; they taste succulent and even juicy, not overcooked. The tom yum base was also adjusted to my diet preference, as I am on a low-salt diet. I love coming to this outlet! I hope they can keep up their good work!
The food is okay, but many small flies around the food looked unhygienic. Perhaps there's no closed door, like the Pasir Ris branch. The place is small, yet there are lots of customers, even outside of peak hours, so it looked congested. Otherwise, the collagen chicken broth is nice. I'd actually like to compare their mala soup with the Pasir Ris one, but I couldn't today, as I just finished a facial, haha. Do they accept reservations? I saw the signage, but even after I finished my food, no one was seated.
Delicious bowl of malatang! It was so good that I forgot to take a picture before eating. I ordered the collagen chicken soup, and it was so yummy. Pricing is quite reasonable, but slightly expensive compared to other malatangs. I will still come back, though, to try the other soups.
The ingredients are quite fresh too. The only thing is, I think the noodles and vegetables were cooked a little too long.
It cost about $15 per person, and they also give you a free apron to wear!
The taste and variety of ingredients were great. However, the packaging was a shock. They are using reusable bags for delivery without taking them back, which means these resource-intensive bags will likely be thrown away by people who already have too many.
This is definitely one of the places to come if you want to have good Ma La Tang.

It's hard to believe this chain exists in a shopping mall. The food is good, and the soups are great, with a really nice price. The selection of food is plentiful, and there is a nice collagen soup.
Highly recommended.
Great to have another Malatang brand in Tampines! They have a great variety of ingredients, and their mala soup base is cooked with cow bones. They also have a condiments section with sufficient sauces, spring onion, and parsley (coriander is under the vegetable selection).
However, they do not serve white rice or provide ice for cold drinks. Also, it seems they didn't separate some of the sliced meat during cooking, as some of the meat became a lump.
I've had it about five times now at this outlet. YGF is one of my favorite mala tangs around for many reasons:
* Good selection of ingredients. Perfect if I want a high-protein and low-carb meal. I love that I can pick as few noodles as I want, unlike many places that only offer noodles as one whole pack.
* Nice soup. I don't know what sorcery... Or at least it's comparable to other competitors.
* Reasonable pricing and they give 20% off for return customers.
* Condiments are nice. I like the concoction I can make here as opposed to other brands.
* Staff are kind and efficient.
If I really have to pick on something:
* The "small spicy" feels like medium spicy already for someone like me who can handle spice.
* More variety of soups would be great!
ALSO, I don't know why, but I feel like my meats always turn out to be less than what I selected! This is consistent with some other reviews as well.
