The restaurant looks not very clean. The wall is full of mould. Service is slow and random. I ordered 2 pax bundle meal, and the first thing they served before the main dish is ice-cream and drink. My kid had to wait for almost 30min to get the Epi fry don served. Overall, food is just ok ok.

Service was terrible. Staff had no basic courtesy to speak politely or decline nicely to customers. Came in to an almost empty restaurant at 630pm, wanted to sit at the corner near the window. Apparently staff said those seats are meant for 5-6 people. But her tone was so rude. She couldve been more courteous in her tone and the way she spoke to me. Also, there was a couple who sat in the same row of seats, and they are allowed to sit and enjoy their meal there? Doesnt look like theres 5-6 people with them. Atrocious service.

Was there about 1pm plus. Ordered the signature tendon since it is one of the recommended dish. The portion is huge. The food came pretty fast. Very pleasantly surprised by my first bite on the tempura prawn. Very good taste and was served piping hot. Batter was so crispy. Rest of the tempura were equally good and well done. The egg on the other hand was cold. Could have been better if it was hot too. Overall experience was great. Friendly and customer orientated staff. Ambience was great too. I asked to change to be seated at the window seat and was enjoying my lunch throughout. I am giving it a 5 star. Will recommend this restaurant to my friends.

We ordered 2 signature tendon sets as we've not tried this place before, despite walking past it a number of times when we visit the mall. The tendon set was pretty standard, in terms of variety of the types of meat and veg, as well as the taste. We liked that the set has an egg as well, as most other tendon places don't have an egg as part of the set. The egg however was overcooked, so the yolk was hardened instead of runny. Even though the food was decent, the speed of service left a lot to be desired. We came late - about 8.15pm, so the place was already pretty empty. We didn't expect to have to wait long for the food to be served. To make things worse, the staff were already mopping the floor while we were eating, so we had to endure the overly strong smell of detergent throughout our meal. I get that the staff want to leave on time, and may want to get the cleaning done since there wasn't many customers left, but they could have done so for the areas where customers are not dining at.

Tokyo Shokudo at Tampines Mall is such an underrated spot for Japanese food! The ramen broth is light but still super flavorful, the tendons are crispy without feeling too heavy, and the baby squid was a pleasant surprise – tender and tasty. It’s a nice, casual place to grab a comforting meal without the crowd. Definitely worth checking out if you’re around!

Hey guys, just gotta share my recent experience at Tokyo Shokudo in Tampines Mall. If you're in the mood for some Japanese Tendon rice, this place is ok lah! I tried their chicken ramen and signature tendon, and they were quite nice. The ramen had flavorful broth and tender chicken, while the tendon was roasted and nice. Overall, a satisfying meal.

Incredibly rude staff, especially the lady cashier. Visited on 13 July, evening time. Despite being right at the entrance to wait to be seated, the 2 staff at the payment counter (literally just a metre away) did not see us and we had to get their attention. We were seated, menu and ordering of food was done via scanning of QR code. The only service we received despite paying for service charge is just our food being sent to our table. For payment you have to go to the counter and pass your table receipt. But the cashier was already giving attitude then like the want to fight kind of face 😂 Subsequently made payment and received my receipt. Noticed a double entry, hence I asked to clarify it. She didn't even look at it and quickly said "it's already void" - which firstly how is anyone going to know if it's void given there was no strike out, and secondly why is it even in the receipt if it's already void. So I said "Oh so then the price is xxx right?", only to be given a retort of "You can count yourself if you don't believe", all the while she is not looking at me and busy doing other things (there was no line at payment counter). What a joke 😂 unfortunately the food did not make up for the rude service and it was certainly not worth the price or added service charge. The egg in the ramen was salty, you can prepare it better at home. Salad was just lettuce and corn with what tasted like the Kewpie roasted sesame sauce. Pepper Lunch is a definitely much better option 😂 should have listened to all the bad reviews instead of wasting my money here!

Place is accessible, clean and well located in a mall. The seasonal special was yuzu soup brouth which i tried. Personaly, would still prefer the original classic chicken / black brouth. The okinomiyaki dumpling was really nice though. Overall, would come again when am around the area. Folks there are polite, friendly too which is a big plus.

Waited 30 minutes for the food to be served. The Chicken Gyoza was not great, very dry. Beef ramen was nice but portion could be slightly more. Milo dinosaur waffles with ice cream - You could get a better waffles at a cheaper price at Prima Deli!

Visited during lunchtime and to our dismay, the food did not look like what it does in the menu. Ordered the chicken cha shu tom yam ramen lunch set. For comparison, the left is what was displayed in the menu while the right is what we received. Just one singular piece of chicken is pathetic, let alone half an egg. The picture from the menu shows (at least) 2 pieces of chicken and a full egg. For the price points this is just unreasonable. Utterly disappointed. Not to mention how the staff also slipped and dropped the bowl of ramen on the table, which splashed on my friend to which the staff muttered “sorry”, and quickly walked away. Not sure why the service staff here are so stuck up. The lack of professionalism is bizarre. Not returning again.
