Was at Tampines Mall outlet for the Hi-tea buffet. The buffet food settings were cosy, like small home party feel, no frills. Food were refilled in a reasonable speed. They served bamboo shoot, braised豆干, green&red pepper fried w pork belly, fried cauliflower，fried山药with little amount of black fungus, fried cabbage, fried rice, porridge, signature white Bee Hoon. The dishes were tasty. The initial servings of green pepper dish has pork belly but subsequent servings, it's only the greens. The signature white Bee Hoon was similar, initially there were shredded pork, green veggies n 豆干 but subsequent servings were just plain white Bee Hoon. Dessert was 莲子木耳羹 but no presence of 莲子. We were quite disappointed especially we were there for their signature white Bee Hoon. It seems more like a vegetarian meal. There was not a single dish of meat. For me, I find its not worth $19.80/pax.

This is one of my favourite restaurants. But the 3-5pm buffet is a total disappointment. The setup for the buffet is very small, not much variety in terms of food choices. Too bad dun hv my favourite sweet and sour pork.

Birthday treat for my mum with a good spread of food. No pork no lard fried rice and 3 egg vegetables were available for my helper. Love the cockles, bamboo prawn and 100 minute yellow croaker fish! Their chilli sauce is a must try and my mum wanted to tabao the sauce which I replied that it's not "tabaoable" 🤣 Their signature noodle is great as usual. Tried their corn drink which was well liked by my mum! Sweet and sour pork lychees were good too! Tampines Mall has wheel chair accessible parking at B3, best to go early before 12 pm with lesser crowd!

Highly recommend 2 dishes - sweet & sour pork with lychees & fujian seafood lor mee. Always love their service - offering to help portion out the noodles according to the number of pax. The restaurant is quite big hence the tables are well spaced out. Do try to get a reservation as it gets crowded and need to wait abit.

Visited the restaurant on 8 July 2025 and was served by a staff, William. He is very attentive and friendly. Those few dishes he recommended is very delicious and his good service has created a very pleasant and memorable experience. I would like to comment on Putian Restaurant for their sumptuous dishes and excellent staff like William.

It was very unfortunate that the “pen cai” we had ordered for our reunion dinner this year was disappointing. We had always ordered from Putien yearly. This year the ingredients were not fresh at all. Mushroom was sour, abalone was hard. It made me wonder if the mushrooms had actually gone bad? Also, prawns were not fresh. Hope something can be done or we might not re-purchase in future. For the price we paid I feel we deserve to have something that can justify the quality.
