The food is great, but the service was lacking. I waited outside the store for a good 5 minutes before anyone helped me. The service staff also looked unhappy.

This outlet didn't work well for me. The udon in tomato broth wasn't to my liking. The udon was overly soft, even soggy. I was a bit disappointed, as Itacho Sushi is my preferred sushi chain. This outlet simply isn't as good as the many others I patronize.

Lousy customer service, incompetent staff, and the food isn't value for money, especially for the exorbitant prices. I was there last weekend. From the outside, the place seemed nice, but inside was a different story. The wait time to be seated was about 15 minutes. The table they pointed out to us looked clean, but upon reaching it, we noticed the seats were dirty. The cleaning person had obviously swept food bits onto the chairs and booth seats. We had to clean the seats and chairs ourselves, as no wait staff was present. Ordering was done via QR code, which led us to the online ordering system. Food was served carelessly. The server just placed our orders on the table without telling us what they were or asking whose order was whose. The size of the sushi and sashimi served was astonishingly tiny for the price. The cha su ramen was disappointing. After settling our bill, we were handed a folded receipt. As we looked at it on our way out, we realized the receipt wasn't ours. We went back in to ask for the correct receipt, and for the next 20 minutes (approximately) the cashier couldn't find it and asked us if we had paid! Imagine our disbelief. The staff is incompetent and, worse, unapologetic. Instead of apologizing for giving us the wrong receipt, they tried to shift the blame to us. Would they have let us leave the restaurant with a receipt after payment if we hadn't paid in the first place? Ridiculous.

Okay at a pinch. This was our first visit to the Tampines store, as they were one of the few eateries open at 11 am. The food wasn't bad; the sushi was fresh. However, the items tasted "heavy" compared to Genki Sushi or Sushi Teh, referring to the sauces, etc. The deep-fried pork in the udon dish was just okay and could have used some mustard, while the roasted black pepper wagyu beef don was bland. We liked the roasted cod fish and the squid sushi.

(Dec 2023) Orders can now be placed via web browser. Food preparation can be slow; staff mentioned it takes 25 minutes. (Oct 2020) Service could be better. The food portions (e.g., dons) seem to have shrunk. Ordering through their mobile app seems mandatory nowadays. It would be better if I could order through the web browser.

Enjoyed lunch here today. The sashimi and sushi are fresh. I ordered a ton of salmon dishes. I also had the pork with rice, shrimp tempura, and deep-fried Japanese oysters. Doing a dollar-for-dollar comparison with another similar restaurant in the same building, I found this place cheaper with better food. Switching sides!

The restaurant offers a delightful culinary experience with generally delicious food and a pleasant ambiance. However, I did notice an issue with the sweet shrimp on the premium chirashi don; it was a bit fishy and not as fresh as expected. Despite this flaw, I would highly recommend trying the roasted cod fish sushi. Its rich flavor and perfectly balanced seasoning make it a standout dish that you won't want to miss.

I came to dine with my wife and infant child, and the staff were accommodating in seating us at the counter so we could keep the baby's pram close. Up front, you can see the sushi chefs, and I can say they take pride in their work. The food was pretty good too, with the beef and chawanmushi quite delectable. Unfortunately, with competition from other sushi outlets nearby, I have to say Itacho Sushi's prices aren't as competitive as others. But overall, I had a good dining experience. Keep it up.

As usual, whenever I visit Itacho, I only select dishes from the promotion or member's-only menu. This time, I'm back to utilize the $20 member's voucher before it expires next week. I find that most à la carte dishes are a bit pricey. The food is of decent quality. Remember to try food from the promotion menu before deciding to explore others.

Went for a late lunch before the dinner crowd. It had been a long while since I dined here. Service is still good, with friendly and attentive staff. The food is not bad either; the only thing I found missing was their menu booklet. Perhaps I prefer looking at the pictures in the menu booklet. 🤪 Overall, 👍.
