Itacho Sushi

This outlet didn't work well for me. The udon in tomato broth was really not to my palate. The udon was overly soft, or even soggy. I was a tad disappointed, as Itacho Sushi is my preferred sushi chain. This outlet is simply not as good as the many others I patronise.

Lousy customer service, incompetent staff, and the food isn't value for money, especially for the crazy amount you'd have to fork out for it. Was here last weekend. From the outside, the place seemed nice, but inside was a different story. Wait time to get seated was about 15 mins. The table they pointed out to us looked clean, but upon reaching it, we noticed the seats were dirty, as the cleaning person had obviously swept all the food bits onto the chairs and booth seats. We had to clean the seats ourselves as no wait staff was with us. Ordering was via QR code, which led us to their online ordering system. Food was served carelessly. The server simply placed our orders on the table without identifying the dishes or asking who they belonged to for proper placement. The sushi and sashimi portions were astonishingly tiny for the price charged. Cha su ramen was disappointing. After settling our bill, we were handed a folded receipt. As we looked at it on our way out, we realised that the receipt handed to us was NOT ours. We went back in to ask for the correct receipt. For the next 20 mins (approx), the cashier couldn't find it, and they even asked us if we had paid! Imagine our disbelief. The staff is incompetent and, worse, unapologetic that they bungled up. Instead of apologizing for giving us the wrong receipt, they tried to shift the blame to us. Would they have let us leave the restaurant WITH a receipt after payment if we had not paid in the first place? Ridiculous.

**(Dec 2023)** Orders can now be done via web browser. Food preparation could be slow as staff mentioned it takes 25 minutes. **(Oct 2020)** Service could be better. The food portion (i.e., dons) seems to have shrunk. Ordering via their mobile app seems mandatory nowadays, requiring installation. It would be better if I could order through a web browser.
