Sheng Jian bao was juicy! However noodles were a tad bit too oily as well as the chicken. Just FYI they offer free soy milk/steamed dumpling for a review here… 😂 atmosphere wise where we sat got a few flies..: other than that, portions all abit small hence it’s pricey!

This place is sparsely decorated. It is quite popular as the place fills up quickly. Ordered a few of the recommended dishes. The fried buns were really juicy. One bite and the juice sprayed to my nose. Taste is good but the crispy base is too thick and is like a biscuit. The XLB is acceptable but not exceptional. The special pork chop noodle is nice but the pork shoulder is a little dry and has thick hard tendons. The noodle is nice but the soup base has strong peanut taste which is not to my liking. The chicken chop is tender and flavourful.
Service is fast.

The signature fried bun was definitely the standout — incredibly delicious with a perfectly crispy exterior. Unfortunately, the other dishes didn’t live up to expectations. The green tea was over-brewed, and the spicy and sour soup arrived lukewarm. The onion noodles were lacking in fragrance, and the beef noodle soup was so spicy it was hard to enjoy. Considering the high prices, the overall experience didn’t feel worth it, as the flavors were just mediocre.

Food was very average. Ordered the set meal for 2, after adding drinks and gst, came up to almost $57.
The sheng jian bao skin was quite chewy. The rest of the food tasted ok, i've had way better dishes elsewhere. The pickled veg fish had way too much sichuan peppercorn and no other flavour. The dessert tasted better than it looked.
Probably the reason they have so many good reviews is due to many people wanting to claim the freebies they offered for leaving good reviews. 🤷🏻♂️

Their Bao is really the famous dish. Must try! Their dan Dan mian sauce was on point but can get saltier as you dig in. The small problem is the floor can be quite dirty, a small cockroach even climbed onto my calf. I swiped it away and then changed my seat from the by-the-wall four seater cushion to a two seater table. I also saw some cockroach bait at other corner seats.

Service was swift and food was delivered fast! Ordered the baos to share, it was not bad but thought that other xlbs are better. Noodles were a little too salty but in general were not bad.

Honestly the food and service were both beyond expectations! Despite the busy peak period, the staff were all very helpful and keen to get us seated asap and get food served to us very quickly. They also came back to check repeatedly if we’re missing any of our set meal items. The set meal for 2 pax is seriously VERY WORTH IT! If you’re both hungry, you’ll get a main, with 2 rice/noodles (top up), 4 Sheng Jian Bao, 4 Xiao long baos, a starter (I chose wings), an appetiser (I chose black fungus cucumber) and 2 ice jelly~

Super crazy tea-time deal!
Their best seller Golden Fried Chicken Fillet with Scallion Oil Noodles + a green tea (hot/cold) for only $3.80+ on weekdays 2-5.30pm! Don't know when this promo will end but this deal is really super worth!!
Noodle is qq springy with the scallion oil fragrance, very addictive. Fried chicken fillet is so huge and appetising, it's tender chicken thigh with crispy skin!
The set also allows for upgrades like sides (including sheng jian bao etc), change of drinks etc, and we added an ice jelly for $1.80. Even so, my total meal is only $6.10!
Xiao Xue's warm reception & bright smile is very contagious! Even on a quiet rainy afternoon, so it's very heartwarming. In fact, the team here is so welcoming and very responsive!

I ordered the scallion oil noodle set along with a pan-fried bun. The noodles were flavorful, and the side dish—spinach—was perfectly marinated, offering a well-balanced taste. The braised eggs, while decent, didn’t stand out much. The pan-fried bun took a little longer to arrive, but it was worth the wait, with a delightfully crispy base and a rich, savory broth inside. As for the soy grass jelly drink, it tasted refreshingly healthy, with no added sugar—a great complement to the meal. Overall, a satisfying experience, and I’ll definitely be returning!

We went at 6.30pm on a Saturday night and we were lucky enough to get a seat for 5 without having to wait for too long (maybe a 3 min wait).
The 生煎包 was really good when we takeaway to try it at home so we came back to try other dishes.
We ordered the set meal for 2 which was really worth the price and added on more ala carte dishes. Overall, the food tastes delectable and we would come back again.
