This year 2022 to maintain the price, the fruits in middle and the toppings of the cakes have reduced. The cream is too much.
I rather the cakes are smaller than reduce the fruits so as to remain palatable.
From Tampines Mall, Bought the small 15cm Blackforest $30, a slice of the mix fruit top, a slice of strawberry.
As compared to the Blackforest bought in February from CompassOne, the cakes from Tampines Mall are really terrible with no taste of a cake. Without the dark cherries in between, it is far from a Blackforest cake.
Regardless if nearing closing time, the quality of the cakes has to remain consistent.
And I believe the temperature in the the display case is not the temperature of a refrigerator hence unable to maintain freshness.
This is not the normal standard of the brand
Four Leaves.
Something seems amiss and $30 down the drain.

Very pack. I was queuing and while looking at the cake display, a lady just cut in front of me to queue. Service ok. Cake was nice but expensive.

“I recently visited this shop and was disappointed by the staff’s attitude ( an Old lady with a spectacle), which came across as unwelcoming and indifferent. She seemed disinterested in assisting customers, This incident wasn’t the first time. Somehow, my kids likes the bakery over these brand and we bought a lot of over at many other branches. However, only these bunches that doesn’t treat custom well., For a few times when we visit the shop when our children’s point at the bakery that they wanted to buy this old lady will run over and shout at my children. Hey hey hey. Be careful, don’t touch the bread. This action was so rude that making me so uneasy. For the first few times I treated as an old lady with ages So did not mention anything.. But after a few times of visiting the same things happen, and I couldn’t Take this type of attitude. Anymore and started to question her why you keep shouting at customer don’t touch the bread. The breads can’t be pointed at a showcase and afraid customer to touch while you must well keep all your bread and do not sell it and showcase to customer. Respecting you as a union personnel doesn’t mean you can treat customer with Attitude. which made the experience feel less than pleasant. Unfortunately, based on this, I wouldn’t recommend this shop to others.”
Remember the words it takes years for customer to visit your shop to buy your products, but it takes few seconds to destroy the trust between your shop reputation and the customers.

One of my favorite bakeries since they launched the sea salt bread. There's also small sized buns and you can pick and choose, when you buy in 3s or 5s it becomes cheaper. So many options to choose from and the buns are soft and fluffy in Japanese style!

I stood next to the shop & witnessed this. One aunty staff right hand wear gloves, left hand never wear and she was arranging the bread in the display shelves. The right hand with gloves supposedly to handle food while the left without gloves is to handle non-food items. She opened the display shelves doors using her right hand, arranged each bread, closed, then opened the next one, arranged, closed in this cycle using the right hand with gloves. Imagine how many customers' hands have been opening n closing the doors while choosing bread. This aunty staff is helping to add germs to all the bread.

Just placed order for a Royal Cheese Cake 24 cm $62. We have tried their Royal Cheese Cake 21 cm $42 and their strawberry shortcake. My grandson loves the Royal Cheese cake. The creamy light soft cheese cake slowly melt in the mouth. The base biscuit was crunchy to give it a contrast between soft and hard texture. Simply heavenly. Not too sweet. Worth trying.

My favourite bakery since I was a young child. Love the cakes and bread. However, the queuing and cashier system really needs improving. Please open another cashier counter. The queue always snakes around the corner of the shop into the mall. I've never been there without a long queue. It's not exactly fast moving either. That's the only downside I can think of.

(Aug 2024, weekend evening)
+ Fast counter staff service, accepts credit card and capitavoucher
+ Bread is generally decent; cheap for some varieties (mix-and-match 5 for $4.40)
- Bread becomes stale the next day, have to eat on day itself
- Cakes are quite bad
