Fei Siong operates the innovative Kawan Kawan halal food court concept at Basement 1 of Tampines Mall, representing the evolution of one of Singapore's most respected food and beverage groups that has been serving quality local cuisine since 1993. Under the leadership of founder Mr. Tan Kim Siong, who started with a single fishball noodle stall at Stamford Road, the group has expanded into a comprehensive food service operation that celebrates Singapore's diverse culinary heritage.
Kawan Kawan features seven distinct food stalls offering an eclectic mix of halal-certified cuisines that cater to Tampines' multicultural community. The food court specializes in both traditional local favorites like chicken rice and noodles, alongside international offerings including authentic Thai cuisine and Spanish tapas, creating a unique dining destination that bridges cultures through food.
The establishment operates with meticulous halal certification standards, ensuring all dishes meet the highest requirements for halal preparation and ingredients. This commitment to inclusivity makes Kawan Kawan a welcoming destination for Muslim diners and families seeking quality halal food options in a vibrant, modern food court environment.
Operating daily from 10am to 10pm with last orders at 9pm, Kawan Kawan serves the bustling Tampines community with convenient access to diverse, quality food options. The concept reflects Fei Siong Group's dedication to innovation and community service, providing an inclusive dining space that celebrates Singapore's multicultural identity through exceptional food experiences.
The service from the male clerk was very bad. The food portion is very small and has no taste, it is better to eat instant noodles.
When he sees an Asian face, he asks the customer in Chinese with a strange accent.
Do you really think all Asians are Chinese?
This store does not look like a store run by civilized and polite Singaporeans.

What a rip off this place is. Arrived at 9pm to dabao a plate of bee hoon - purchased together with a hot dog, a piece of luncheon meat and a piece of beancurd roll. Total bill came up to $6 for such a little portion. Perhaps even eating Qi Ji is more worth it than this. I suspect the staff does not want to sell because they are planning to keep the extra and bring home for free. Also the staff’s attitude - two old ladies, sucks big time. Acting as though the world owes them. These two ladies should be fired seriously!

the portion they give is too little, i ask for chilli they give few drops of chill only.
Ed Ramthan
Had one of the worst tasting popiah and kueh pie tee. Will be the first and the last visit here.
TF
Asked for more chilli but only gave a very small portion, overpriced as well. Food was average.

Used to be good. Now it's just rubbish.

Bought 2 set B (bee hoon+ chicken wing) with an add on of curry veg. Got charged 1 set and the other set become full ala carte.
Lol next time don't add on anything when buying your set bee hoon or one of them become full ala carte. 😅
Oh, and the attitude of the lady that serve us (someone posted her picture in other review) was so bad as if we owed her salary 😅
foxtrix
Set A and Set B being raised from $3 to $4.50 is a joke, especially when new Set A (one chicken wing+bee hoon) is the same as the old Set B without any additions.
I wonder how do the bosses justify the price hike, especially when the TM outlet is prone to being unreliable about the size of the chicken wing they give you. Someday it is normal, other days maybe the auntie just don't like you and give you the smallest one of the lot.
At least be more consistent about the food that you guys are serving out

The auntie service attitude sucks.customer paying money for the food, ask her to change not the oily box,she jus would not change, will not come again.Expect customer to give in zi am not going to there again

What happen to the nice chicken wing they used to sell? Today i bought the wings and its terrible. Better buck up your food quality, noone will buy this kind of crap.

Ordered the mixed beehoon and noodle set, with egg and fishcake. Tastewise, it was okay, especially if you add lots of the chilli which helps boost the taste.
Servicewise, they need some improvement. There is an older lady and whenever she mans the frontend, it is like a bad day for her, and this bad attitude carries on to her interactions with customers. Perhaps they should move her to the back.

Very very bad experience. Haven’t start to order or start and got pissed off by the cleaner lady. There is so many empty tables and she keep pushing us to seat next to the staff door exit. Then keep saying cos this table got back-rest chair better for elderly. Have to tell her off that if she want she just change the chair and is only 1 back-rest chair out of the 8 chairs. So so experienced. Will never visit again

Have been a long time patron of this store and the food is good. Especially the chicken wings. However i had to write this review for my particular purchase on Christmas Lunch 2024. Not sure if the cook is new or just angry at the fact that they have to work on a PH but the effort put in the food is a joke. Chicken wings were under seasoned and over cooked. Fried rice was mushy and under-seasoned and UNDERMIXED with literal bunches of white rice still visible? Even my Fiance’s bee hoon was dry and bland. Fei Shiong has to have some standards for who is allowed to cook if they want to continue surviving in the competitive F&B industry

I used to like buying from them but their standards have gone way south.
I bought one packet of beehoon from them last evening. At 7+pm, they do not have much ingredients left, yet I saw them pour a new batch of beehoon in. I saw a fly flying about and landed briefly on a sausage.
In the end I just added an egg and taiwan sausage as the other ingredients did not interest me. I asked for curry gravy and paid $3.30 for that.
When I got home to eat, I realised no gravy or chilli was given at all and nope they did not even bother asking me if I wanted any. In case you are wondering, there was no queue and I was the only customer there.
Don't think I will patronise them again since at that price, there are better choices.

Bought the tofu with fish paste. Tofu is very juicy, however the fish paste is too thin. Can barely taste the fish paste.

Friendly staff. Will be better to check with customer if to add extra noodles. I didn’t ask for extra noodles, but maybe cos auntie saw I order more ingredients, then added extra noodles.

Wow surprised by the low rating. Pricey beehoon with ingredients... but the chicken wing was good, so delicious. Beehoon given was very little though, can finish in 5 mouthfuls. Stall staff are very friendly.

First time here and very happy that the woman serving me at the cashier was very polite and spoke perfect English. She even asked me which fishball I wanted as there was the jumbo kind and another kind. I would actually come back due to the excellent service and of course being served in English which I will give a 10/10!
