BABY GERM
It’s not bad, but I felt the skin was a little too dry and slightly thicker compared to the one I had at the other outlet.

Ann Chin Popiah at Tampines Mall's Kopitiam represents a cherished piece of Singapore's culinary heritage, continuing a family tradition that began in 1958 through nearly seven decades of passionate service to local communities. Located at Level 4 (#04-27) within the modernised Kopitiam food court, this home-grown establishment has earned prestigious recognition including Michelin Plate awards in 2019 and 2024, cementing its status as one of Singapore's premier popiah destinations. The brand's commitment to handmade excellence and traditional preparation methods has made it a beloved fixture in Singapore's hawker scene, attracting both loyal regulars and curious food enthusiasts.
The stall specialises in authentic handmade popiah featuring fresh, translucent spring roll skins that are meticulously prepared daily to achieve the perfect balance of softness and chewiness that distinguishes artisanal products from machine-produced alternatives. Their signature popiah (S.50 per roll) combines garlic, sweet sauce, chilli sauce, crispy bits, chopped peanuts, shredded lettuce, chopped egg, and braised turnip and carrot, creating a harmonious blend of textures and flavours. The menu extends to include prawn popiah (S.20) and chicken cutlet popiah (S.20) for heartier appetites, alongside traditional kueh pie tee (S for 4 cups) filled with the same quality ingredients and topped with crispy garnishes.
Operating daily from 10am to 9pm, Ann Chin Popiah maintains strict quality standards while accommodating diverse dietary preferences through vegetarian options and pork-free, lard-free preparation methods. The Tampines Mall outlet exemplifies the brand's successful expansion from traditional wet markets to modern food courts while preserving authentic preparation techniques and flavour profiles that have earned generations of customer loyalty. Their presence in Kopitiam's revamped environment demonstrates how traditional Singapore hawker culture continues to thrive within contemporary retail settings, offering convenient access to time-honoured recipes and maintaining the social dining traditions that define Singapore's unique food culture.

I had Ann Chin’s so called Michelin Star popiah at the newly opened Parkway Parade food court today. Opening special $4 for 2 rolls. It was totally disappointing. Popiah was soggy and cloyingly sweet. Didn’t taste like popiah but some artificial mushy dessert. The popiah stall just across the road at Marine Parade food centre is way better.

Tried their signature popiah. It was flavourful. It doesn’t have the prawns like in the usual popiah. Instead, they put fried small shrimps/some fried stuff which add to the crunchiness in every mouth. Each signature popiah is $2.50. There is also vegetarian popiah and other variations.

I tried their Signature Popiah, Prawn Popiah, and Chicken Cutlet Popiah, along with Kueh Pie Tee, Chee Cheong Fun, and Yam Cake. Every dish was a delight, bursting with authentic flavors. The Chicken Cutlet Popiah was a unique twist that I thoroughly enjoyed, and the Kueh Pie Tee was satisfyingly crispy and flavorful. If you're looking for a true taste of Singaporean tradition, Ann Chin Popiah is the place to go. Highly recommended!

So exciting that this famous popiah stall finally has an outlet in Tampines! Here’s what we tried: 🥢 Popiah: 4 types (signature, vegetarian @ $2.50 ; prawn, chicken cutlet @ $3.20). We tried all except the vegetarian one. They’re packed with all the usual popiah goodness and definitely don’t skimp on any ingredients! Super flavorful! 🥢 Kueh Pie Tee $4: The ingredients were overflowing from the cups! I love how they added a lot of egg and crispy bits. Yummy~ 🥢 Chee Cheong Fun $2.60 (set with yam cake @ $4.20): Topped with fried shallots and savory light soya sauce. This was yummy good! The sauce was fragrant and went perfect with the soft chewy chee cheong fan! 🥢 Yam Cake $1.80 (set with ccf @ $4.20): We asked for sweet sauce & chili sauce on the side! This dish had yam chunks inside and other ingredients like mushroom too! Recommend! Do drop by and check out this new conveniently located outlet~

One of the best Popiah I had! I love the chicken cutlet Popiah because it is exceptionally crunchy. The Chee Cheong Fun and Yam Cake may seem like common dim sum item but they are really delicious. There’s plenty of carpark and ample space since this still is situated in the food court! Must try!
