I think that was my first and also the last time to Hair Mechanics to fix my hair. I went for a 理发 recently and clearly said and pointed out to the 男性 hairdresser that I wanted my hair length below my shoulder. But after drying from blowout, my hair turns out to be above my shoulder. The fact that the 男性 hairdresser looked experienced and professional, but well he’s not. I paid over $50+ just to get my scalp burn by the heat from the hair dryer during the blowout, not to mention the dry and poofy hair after the blowout and no heat protector applied to my hair. I blow my hair way nicer and better than he does, duh. Clearly he doesn’t know his work, have passion for what he’s doing and lack of skills. The only thing I liked from this whole experience was the smell of my hair from some product which he had applied on my hair after the blowout. No wonder there’s many 1 star reviews from earlier customers…and the shop was the only one that’s not fully booked ooohhh. 太失望了！ Wouldn’t recommend unless you’re not particular.

Not worth to go as it is very pricey for such standards. 1) there isn't any indication pricing for their services. Therefore during CNY the price is @ S$48 just a hair cut. During non festive season, the hair cut was S$35. The sum doesnt add up. 2) The skills they posses are HDB standard or even Kcut(S$10). I would recommend you guys to go for Kcut & ladies to go to the one beside hair mechanics, which I think the shop is "RED" I went twice as to give them another chance to see how it will work out for me but it is a ultimate disappointment. In conclusion, please proceed to the salon next to it or else where as it is not worth your $$.

Was quite satisfied with their hair cut by 2 male hair stylist previously hence we came back as a return customer. However, yesterday's visit was atrocious. Not only the lady hair dresser "adjusted" my daughter's position in the booster seat roughly, she still commented SO SHORT AH when we showed her a Bob cut. Then, she proceeded to cut very slowly. Throughout the cut (1hr plus), she was easily distracted with phone calls and new customers. When she's done, she presented a super flat and totally not Bob cut hairstyle on my daughter. I make some comments and she proceeded to cut again. This time, leaving UNEVEN LAYERS & "HOLES". I told her to stop. She still proceeded for a while. I'm speechless. Will never return again.

I absolutely adore the staff here, Sophia and Anne have made it so welcoming every time i come to do my hair. After my hair getting damaged by other hairdressers who do not know how to manage thick, wavy hair, I've finally found my place to go to. They not only know how to manage my hair, they also know what products would help it thrive and give me product recommendations that i can use at home, within my budget.

Great place if you speak Mandarin. If you’re English speaking, they may not understand what styles you want. I didn’t have any appointment, so walk-ins are accepted. Wasn’t served any drinks even though left and right were served drinks. Guess they forgot?! 😢 pricing was $42 for short hair and included a wash.
