The 2026 FIFA World Cup Final is Argentina vs Spain, Monday 20 July 2026, 3.00am Singapore time, at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. Lionel Messi's Argentina are chasing back-to-back titles after edging England 2-1 in their semi-final. Spain beat France 2-0 in the other semi. And for anyone at Tampines Mall who would rather watch it with a crowd than on a sofa, the closest free screening is a short walk away at Our Tampines Hub, which is running its Final Watch Party across four venues from 2am on the 20th.
Our Tampines Hub: four venues, one mega watch party
Our Tampines Hub (1 Tampines Walk) sits right next to Tampines Mall. Walk out of the mall, cross the covered walkway, and you are at the Hub within minutes. For the Final, OTH is screening the match live across four of its spaces at once, which is why it is the biggest free east-side screening: Festive Plaza outdoors, Space @08 on Level 2, Central Plaza, and the Community Auditorium on Level 3. Doors open from 2am on 20 July, an hour before kick-off, so you can grab a spot before the screens fill.
The night before, on 19 July at 5pm, OTH is hosting a Meet and Greet with a 2014 World Cup winner at the Hub before the Final Live Screening. OTH has not named the player publicly in its announcement, but the comments under its Facebook post are guessing Manuel Neuer. Either way, it is a genuine 2014 winner, not a lookalike or a local coach. If you want a photo with a World Cup medal holder, this is the east-side event to be at on the Sunday evening.
OTH Management has noted in its Facebook posts that it reserves the right to amend the screening schedule without notice, so it is worth checking the Our Tampines Hub Facebook page on the day itself for any last-minute venue or timing changes before you walk over.
The east-side fallback cluster
If OTH is full or you want a different vibe, there are three other confirmed east-side options within a short ride of Tampines Mall.
- SAFRA Tampines is the closest SAFRA clubhouse to the mall, and it is running the SAFRA Football Bonanza across all seven SAFRA clubs islandwide for every match through to the Final. Open to members and the public on a first-come-first-served basis, with an Ultimate Fan Zone for SAFRA members that includes a complimentary drink for the knockout matches.
- ActiveSG Pasir Ris Sport Centre is the east-zone pick for ActiveSG's Football Finals Watch Party Carnival. Screening is at the Level 1 Foyer, 19 and 20 July from 12am to 7am, with a mini football carnival before kick-off featuring interactive games, challenges and complimentary refreshments while stocks last. Registration is free at go.gov.sg/fwp26. Pasir Ris is a short Downtown Line ride from Tampines East MRT.
- Tampines East CC, Tampines North CC and Tampines Changkat CC are the three People's Association community clubs in Tampines confirmed screening the final four of the World Cup. Entry is free and walk-in, no reservation needed. OTH's own Facebook post points fans to these CCs for additional match screenings beyond what OTH itself hosts.
Further east, Changi Airport's ST3PS sports bar screens every match of the tournament and is a short ride from Tampines, but it is a paid bar rather than a free public screening, so it sits lower on the list if budget matters.
Getting to the match at 2am on a Monday
The awkward part of this Final is the Monday morning. Kick-off is 3am on a Monday, the MRT is not running at kick-off, and the NightRider and Nite Owl night buses only run on Friday, Saturday and eve-of-holiday nights, so there is no night bus on a Sunday night. Getting to a screening means driving, a taxi or PHV, or picking a venue you can walk to, which is the real advantage of OTH for Tampines Mall shoppers. Getting home is easier. Monday's first trains start around 5.45am from most stations, and a regulation match that ends near 5am leaves only a short wait, or none if the match goes to extra time and penalties.
If you would rather not travel at 2am at all, the Final is free on Mediacorp Channel 5 on any digital TV or set-top box, or streaming free on mewatch with a free account on iOS, Android, web, smart TVs, Apple TV and Chromecast. No subscription is needed for the Final itself, only a free mewatch account. The paid mewatch World Cup pass is only required for the matches that are not free-to-air, which does not include the Final.
