About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated Resident Doctor to join our Hospice and Home Care team on a 6-month contract to provide coverage during maternity leave. You will be responsible for delivering compassionate, patient-centred medical care to individuals with advanced or chronic illnesses in both home-based and centre-based settings.

Key Responsibilities

Lead nurses in providing medical consultations for patients in home and centre-based care
Conduct initial assessments and formulate care plans with the multi-disciplinary team
Provide symptom management and holistic support (psychological, emotional, and spiritual) to patients and their families
Review care plans regularly to ensure patient safety and care quality
Conduct regular clinical meetings and teaching sessions for the care team
Mentor and support nursing staff in clinical care delivery
Handle ad-hoc duties as required to support Metta Medical Care services

Job Requirements

Basic medical degree recognised by the Singapore Medical Council (SMC)
Minimum 3 years of post-graduate clinical experience
Experience in palliative care and/or home care is advantageous (training provided if needed)
Able to work independently and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
Strong clinical judgement and commitment to compassionate care
Good communication, mentoring, and organisational skills
