Job Description

Developing and Implementing Purchasing Strategies:This includes identifying needs, researching suppliers, and creating policies and procedures for procurement.
Negotiating Contracts and Prices:Working with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions, including prices, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
Managing Relationships with Vendors:Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring their performance aligns with expectations, and addressing any issues that arise.
Overseeing Inventory Management:Monitoring inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock to meet production needs, and minimizing storage costs.
Ensuring Quality and Timeliness:Verifying that purchased goods and services meet quality standards and are delivered on time.
Analyzing Market Trends and Competitive Pricing:Staying informed about market conditions, pricing trends, and competitor activities to make informed purchasing decisions.
Collaborating with Other Departments:Working closely with departments like finance, operations, and engineering to align procurement strategies with overall business objectives.
Evaluating Supplier Performance:Assessing supplier performance based on factors like price, quality, delivery reliability, and responsiveness to customer needs.
