BI Developer(MicroStrategy)

Key Responsibilities:

· Design, develop, and deploy MicroStrategy reports, dashboards, and visualizations.

· Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze reporting requirements.

· Create and optimize BI solutions to support strategic and operational decision-making.

· Develop logical and physical data models, schema objects, and metadata.

· Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reporting platforms.

· Maintain and enhance existing BI solutions and MicroStrategy objects.

· Implement data security and access controls within MicroStrategy.

· Provide documentation, training, and support to end-users.

· Perform unit testing and troubleshoot performance or functionality issues.

· Work with database developers, data engineers, and ETL teams for data integration.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

· Proven experience as a BI Developer with strong MicroStrategy expertise.

· Proficiency in MicroStrategy Desktop, Web, Architect, and Developer tools.

· Strong understanding of SQL and relational databases (e.g., Oracle, Redshift, Big Query, SQL Server, Snowflake, etc.).

· Experience with data warehousing concepts and dimensional modelling.

· Knowledge in BI performance optimization and access provisioning by leveraging group, roles etc.

· Knowledge of enterprise data sources, ETL processes, and data governance.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

· MicroStrategy certification (e.g., MicroStrategy Certified Developer / Architect).

· Experience with cloud BI environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).

· Familiarity with other BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.

· Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
